We were given a stairwell shot where we had simple reflectors and no additional light except window light coming in from the right side. We were also given a shot where we had a studio setup and backdrop with professional lighting, and we were supposed to see the difference between the two images lighting wise and compositionally. We used tools from past projects such as selections, cropping, and other additional tools. What I Learned From this Project:
In this project, I learned the importance of light and how it matters how the light is hitting the subject. With the stairwell shot, it was hard to get the light exactly how I wanted it due to the fact that it was partially uncontrollable. I also learned the importance of spacing your subject from the backdrop and making sure that the background isn't also in focus right behind the subject. Additionally, I learned how to composite the two images together in different layers and how to create a border around my photos.
